Regenerative Farm FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We believe good food starts with healthy soil, cared-for animals, and transparent farming practices. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about our farm, our products, and how ordering works.

What does regenerative farming mean?

Regenerative farming is a way of raising food that works to improve the land over time. We focus on building soil health, supporting biodiversity, stewarding water responsibly, and using practices that strengthen the ecosystem for future generations.

Why buy from a regenerative farm?

When you buy from a regenerative farm, you support farming practices that prioritize soil health, animal welfare, local food systems, and long-term land stewardship. It is a meaningful way to invest in food raised with care and purpose.

What products do you offer?

We offer farm-fresh products directly through our online store. Depending on the season, this includes pasture-raised meats, eggs, and other carefully selected local goods.

Are your animals pasture-raised?

Yes. We believe animals should be raised in ways that allow them to express natural behaviors in chemical-free pastures with fresh, clean air, and thoughtful care. Our farming approach values both animal well-being and responsible land management.

Is everything you sell raised on your farm?

Yes, all of our products are raised right here on our farm.

Why are your products more expensive than the grocery store?

In many ways, it all comes down to our farming philosophy. Most meat (yes, even what is sold as organic) is built on practices which allow mass production. This includes grain-feeding, confinement, synthetic inputs (e.g. chemical fertilizers, hormones), and farming practices that prioritize scale over ethics. We are different. We believe we have a responsibility to our animals and our land. Our animals are pasture-raised and humanely cared for using regenerative practices that take more time, but that also protect your health and our land.

What types of animals do you raise?

Our pigs are a heritage breed known as Idaho Pasture Pigs (IPPs). IPPs are designed to graze on grass and legumes like sheep or cattle, resulting in less rooting and damage to pasture. Because they are not ruminants like cattle, they require additional supplementation and are fed a non-GMO grain, with no soy or corn.

Our cows are fully grass-fed and never eat grain. They are a phenotype (specific characteristics) rather than a specific breed. Our cows are well-suited to thrive, graze, and finish solely on a forage-based diet. Unlike grain-finished cattle, which are often bred for rapid growth in feedlots, grass-fed animals need specific traits to efficiently convert pasture into muscle and fat. Included in our herd are Gelbvieh and Angus cross breeds.

Our chickens are pasture-raised, and free roaming. They are given supplemental non-GMO feed that is also soy and corn-free.

Do you use chemicals of any kind?

No, we do not use herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers on any of our pastures. Additionally, we do not use hormones or antibiotics on any of our animals.

How do I place an order?

Ordering is simple through our online store. Sign-in with your zipcode, browse available products, add your favorites to the cart, and select the pickup or delivery option available for your area during checkout.

Do you offer local pickup or delivery?

Yes. We offer local pickup and, in some areas, hand delivery and shipping. The options available to you will appear when you sign in with your zipcode.

How do I know when products are back in stock?
